The Chandra Vidyalaya Sunday School at the Hanuman Mandir is an integral part of Mandir’s education initiative. We provide students with essential lessons in Hindu religious teachings, Indian cultural education and Hindi language lessons in the beautiful setting of our Hanuman Mandir.
Our curriculum is broken up into 3 distinct pieces:
Hindi Language: Younger grades learn to read and write vowels, learn small words for various places, people and things, and learn through short stories and rhymes. Our mid-level students learn to read and write Hindi consonants, apply this to make short words and practice basic conversation starters in Hindi. Our upper class will practice sentence creation, comprehension, and speaking in Hindi.
